Standard Lithium signs 10-year lithium carbonate offtake deal with LG Energy Solution
SLI•LG Energy Solution signs binding offtake for South West Arkansas Project
Standard Lithium’s Smackover Lithium partnership signed a binding take-or-pay offtake with LG Energy Solution for the South West Arkansas Project.
LG Energy Solution will take 8,000 metric tons a year of battery-grade lithium carbonate for 10 years from commercial start.
Combined with the earlier Trafigura deal, committed offtake now covers about 90% of targeted volumes for the initial phase.
Financing work continues, including prior indications of interest for over $1 billion of project debt from three export credit agencies.
Final investment decision is targeted this year, with construction planned to start promptly and first commercial production expected in 2029.
