SXI•Standex International has purchased the remaining 9.9% stake in India-based Narayan Powertech for $64 million, bringing its ownership to 100%. The deal enhances Standex’s transformer segment by integrating Narayan’s low- and medium-voltage instrument transformer manufacturing capabilities into its global Electronics division.
1. Acquisition Details
Standex International completed the purchase of the remaining 9.9% interest in Narayan Powertech for approximately $64 million, raising its total stake to 100%. Narayan Powertech is an India-based manufacturer specializing in low-voltage and medium-voltage instrument transformers used in electrical grids.
2. Strategic Rationale
Full ownership allows Standex to expand its transformer segment by leveraging Narayan’s established production capacity and customer relationships in India and global markets. The acquisition is expected to strengthen Standex’s global product portfolio and enhance cross-selling opportunities within its Electronics division.
