Stellantis Adds Third ELV Dismantling Center as Reuse Sales Jump 51%
Stellantis will open a third end-of-life vehicle dismantling centre to its SUSTAINera network, joining Turin (2024) and São Paulo (2025), boosting its 4R circular economy operations. In 2025, Valorauto achieved 89.9% recycling and 97.7% recovery rates, battery second-life sales rose to 123,000 kWh and the reuse segment grew 51%.
1. SUSTAINera Expansion
Stellantis is extending its SUSTAINera circular economy operations by launching a third vehicle dismantling centre in a new region. This site will complement existing hubs in Turin (operational since 2024) and São Paulo (launched August 2025) to recover usable components from end-of-life vehicles and channel non-reusable materials into recycling streams.
2. 2025 Circular Economy Performance
Through the Valorauto joint venture, 2025 operations achieved recycling and recovery rates of 89.9% and 97.7%, respectively. High-voltage battery second-life applications saw energy sales to third parties quadruple to 123,000 kWh, including deployment in the PIONEER storage system at Rome Fiumicino Airport, while remanufacturing output surpassed 28,600 engines at the Italy hub.
3. Aftersales and Reuse Growth
The reuse segment recorded a 51% year-on-year sales increase, supported by the B-Parts e-commerce platform’s expansion across Europe (including the UK) and North America’s first full-year operations. Inventory now exceeds 15 million used parts, with further growth driven by Brazil’s Circular AutoPeças store on Mercado Livre, new European eBay outlets and a Chinese joint-venture platform.
