STLA•Stellantis to sell Free2move car-sharing business
Stellantis agreed to sell its entire stake in Free2move’s car-sharing business to Mutares, creating a new mobility platform for the buyer.
The deal is targeted to close by the end of 2026, subject to customary conditions.
Free2move runs free-floating car-sharing in 14 cities across Europe and the US, bookable via its mobile app.
Mutares plans to overhaul fleet management, continue the shift toward battery-electric vehicles, and sharpen customer experience.
Stellantis is exiting to sharpen capital allocation under its FaSTLAne 2030 strategy, prioritizing higher-return regions, brands, and technologies.
