Stellantis launches limited 85th Anniversary Jeep range and exits Tesla’s EU credit pool

STLASTLA

Stellantis will unveil limited 85th Anniversary editions of six Jeep models and launch the first electric Trail Rated Recon SUV in 2026. The automaker is exiting Tesla’s EU CO2 credit pool to establish its own emissions credit program with Leapmotor following Toyota’s departure.

1. Jeep Brand Marks 85th Anniversary with Special Editions

Stellantis is rolling out limited 85th Anniversary editions across six Jeep models—Wrangler, Gladiator, Cherokee, Grand Cherokee, Grand Wagoneer and Compass—each featuring Steel Oxide wheels, Agave Blue badging and Mayan Gold interior accents. The Twelve 4 Twelve campaign will introduce a new special-edition Wrangler each month, and the fully electric Trail Rated Recon SUV is slated for launch later in 2026.

2. Stellantis Exits Tesla’s EU Carbon Credits Pool

Stellantis will withdraw from Tesla’s EU CO2 emissions credit pool for 2026 and form its own independent carbon credit program with Leapmotor after Toyota’s departure. This move reshapes Stellantis’s regulatory credit strategy in Europe and alters its potential revenue from trading emissions allowances.
