STLASTLA

Stellantis shipped 1.4 million vehicles in the first quarter, a 12% increase driven by North America’s 379,000-unit deliveries led by Ram 1500, Grand Wagoneer and Cherokee models. Gulf Cooperation Council volumes fell to about 3,000 vehicles, and Compass output delays in Mexico are prompting a shift to Illinois.

1. Q1 Shipment Growth

Stellantis reported global vehicle shipments of 1.4 million units in the first quarter, marking a 12% year-over-year increase. This growth reverses its earlier sales downturn, positioning the automaker as the only Detroit-based peer to gain volume in the period.

2. Regional Highlights

North American deliveries surged 17% to 379,000 vehicles, led by strong demand for the HEMI-powered Ram 1500 and refreshed Jeep Grand Wagoneer and Cherokee. Conversely, shipments to the Gulf Cooperation Council nations halved to roughly 3,000 units due to regional disruptions.

3. Production Adjustments and Outlook

The Jeep Compass has faced output delays at the Mexico plant, prompting plans to restart production at the Belvidere Assembly Plant in Illinois. Management will unveil detailed strategic reset plans on May 21, focusing on mix optimization and plant realignments.
