Stellantis to Launch Six-Model Jeep Lineup in Europe by 2030 with US$1.2 B China SUV
STLA•Stellantis will expand Jeep's European lineup from two to six models by 2030, adding a D-segment SUV built at Dongfeng's Wuhan plant under a US$1.2 billion manufacturing agreement. The range will include hybrid and electric powertrains, the electric-only Recon off-roader next year and two B-segment SUVs on the STLA One platform.
1. Expansion Plan
Stellantis aims to grow Jeep's European portfolio from two models today to six by 2030, reinforcing its commitment to the region. This extension targets market segments where Jeep currently has limited presence, positioning the brand for broader appeal.
2. China-Built D-segment SUV
The centerpiece is a full-fledged D-segment SUV developed with Dongfeng and built at its Wuhan plant under a US$1.2 billion agreement. Stellantis emphasizes co-development rather than rebadging to maintain Jeep’s design and performance standards.
3. Electrification and New Models
Jeep’s future European range will feature hybrid and fully electric all-wheel-drive powertrains. Model introductions include the electric-only Recon off-roader early next year and two compact B-segment SUVs based on the STLA One platform before 2030.
4. Partnership and Strategy
Jeep is one of four global brands prioritized for investment under Stellantis’ 2030 plan. The Dongfeng collaboration complements other manufacturing partnerships and underscores Jeep’s shift toward electrification and global production synergies.
