Stepan Q3 revenue rises on higher prices, volume
SCL•Stepan's third-quarter revenue rose 17% year over year to $692.15 million, while adjusted EPS nearly doubled to $0.94. The company expects adjusted EBITDA growth and positive free cash flow in 2026.
1. Quarterly results
Stepan reported third-quarter revenue of $692.15 million, up 17% year over year and above the $634.30 million consensus estimate. Adjusted EPS was $0.94, compared with estimates of $0.73, and nearly doubled from a year earlier; net income was $17.81 million.
2. Drivers and outlook
The company said higher global and organic sales volumes, as well as higher selling prices, contributed to revenue and earnings growth. Price increases mainly reflected higher raw material costs and pricing actions. Stepan recorded a $5.6 million restructuring charge tied to Project Catalyst job cuts and expects full-year 2026 adjusted EBITDA growth and positive free cash flow.
