Steris FY27 Q1 net income rises 13% to $200.1 million; revenue increases 7% to $1.5 billion

Healthcare revenue rose 8% to $1.05 billion; operating income increased to $260.2 million, partly offset by inflation and tariff costs.
Applied Sterilization Technologies revenue increased 6% to $297.6 million; operating income edged up to $142.9 million on improved price.
Steris reiterated its fiscal 2027 adjusted EPS outlook of $11.10 to $11.30. The company also raised capital spending to $450 million, cutting its free cash flow view to $800 million.
Quarterly results rise year over year
Steris fiscal 2027 first-quarter net income rose to $200.1 million, up 13% from a year earlier, and diluted earnings per share increased to $2.04.
Revenue climbed 7% to $1.5 billion. Adjusted net income rose to $253.4 million, lifting adjusted EPS to $2.59.
