Stock Yards Bancorp Q3 profit rises 20% on merger boost
SYBT•Stock Yards Bancorp reported third-quarter net income of $43.51 million and earnings per share of $1.40, with profit up 20% as margin expansion and non-interest income lifted results. The Field & Main Bancorp merger contributed to loan and deposit growth, and the company raised its quarterly dividend to $0.33 per share.
1. Merger supports growth
Stock Yards Bancorp said the Field & Main Bancorp merger made its first full-quarter contribution in the third quarter, supporting loan and deposit growth and adding to net interest and non-interest income. Net interest margin expansion reflected loan balance growth, lower deposit costs, a more efficient balance sheet and the merger.
2. Outlook and dividend
The company expects payoff activity to remain a near-term headwind for loan growth and plans to manage its balance sheet below $10 billion at year-end, transitioning above that threshold in 2027. Remaining merger-related expenses, mainly for systems conversion, are expected in the fourth quarter of 2026. Stock Yards raised its quarterly dividend to $0.33 per share in August 2026.
