Stoneridge partners with Kodiak AI to advance autonomous trucks
SRI•Stoneridge entered a collaboration with Kodiak AI to advance autonomous commercial vehicles. MirrorEye systems are already in newly deployed Kodiak-equipped trucks, and a federal exemption allows future SensorPods to omit conventional mirrors.
1. Autonomous vehicle collaboration
Stoneridge and Kodiak AI entered a collaboration to advance autonomous commercial vehicles. MirrorEye camera monitor systems are already incorporated in newly deployed trucks equipped with Kodiak’s autonomous driving system. The companies will explore integrating additional technologies into Kodiak’s platform to improve vehicle data processing. A federal exemption allows future Kodiak SensorPods to omit conventional mirrors, enabling smaller, lighter and more aerodynamic designs.
