Super Micro gains; says probe found no management role in export-control violation case
SMCI•Personnel actions and related probes
Super Micro said it took personnel actions, including terminating employees, for failing to follow company policies.
In March, the U.S. DOJ charged three people associated with SMCI, including one of its co-founders, with helping smuggle at least $2.5 billion worth of U.S. AI tech to China in violation of U.S. export controls.
Taiwanese prosecutors conducted three investigations in May, June and July to probe illegal exports of AI servers to China.
Up to the last close, the stock had risen about 25% year to date.
Shares rise after investigation findings
AI server maker Super Micro Computer's SMCI.O shares rose 1.4% to $37.09.
The company said an independent board-led investigation found no evidence that senior management knew of alleged export-control violations.
