Superior Group Q2 profit beats on strong branded products segment performance

Q2 results beat expectations
Superior Group, the US uniform and branded products supplier, said second-quarter sales rose and beat analyst expectations. Adjusted earnings per share for the quarter more than doubled from a year earlier and also beat analyst expectations.
Adjusted EBITDA increased and beat analyst expectations as well.
Branded Products drives performance
The company said its Branded Products segment performed especially well in the second quarter, driving the increase in adjusted EPS.
Superior Group said it is navigating through soft market conditions, while also recording a non-cash trade name impairment charge in its Healthcare Apparel segment that affected reported net income.
