BERN, Sept. 24 (Reuters) - The Swiss National Bank anticipates moderate growth in the global economy over the coming quarters, Vice Chairman Andre Martin said on Thursday.
Although high energy prices will likely continue to weigh on economic activity, an ongoing improvement in manufacturing momentum will provide support, said Martin in comments prepared for a press conference in Bern after the central bank's latest interest rate decision.
"Inflation is likely to remain elevated for some time," he added.
