T1 Energy backs Trump administration move to set minimum import price on polysilicon
TE•T1 Energy backs polysilicon import-price policy
T1 Energy backed the Trump Administration’s Section 232 polysilicon action, citing support for domestic solar manufacturing and supply chains.
The policy sets a minimum import price for polysilicon and related products, targeting dumping and market manipulation.
T1 said the move supports its plan for a vertically integrated US solar supply chain, citing contracts with Hemlock Semiconductor and Corning.
Its 5GW G1_Dallas module plant is operating; the 2.1GW G2_Austin solar cell fab is under construction with first output expected in Q1 2027.
