Takeda says Japan approves ORZEYFUL to treat narcolepsy type 1 in adults

Japan’s MHLW cleared Takeda’s ORZEYFUL (oveporexton) for narcolepsy type 1 in adults, targeting the disease’s underlying orexin deficiency.
Takeda expects a rapid launch in Japan; the product already holds approvals in China and the US.
US controlled-substance classification remains under review by the DEA.
