Combining Tango Therapeutics’ vopimetostat with Revolution Medicines’ daraxonrasib produced a 92% objective response rate in 12 advanced pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma patients, with 90% progression-free survival at six months and 100% disease control. The stock jumped 53% to close at $30.93 after the Phase 1/2 data.
Tango Therapeutics reported that 11 of 12 patients with advanced pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma experienced tumor shrinkage when treated with vopimetostat plus daraxonrasib, yielding a 92% objective response rate. Six-month follow-up data showed 90% of patients remained progression-free and the regimen achieved 100% disease control.
The combination regimen was generally well tolerated, with relatively few serious adverse effects reported. A separate arm pairing vopimetostat with zoldonrasib achieved a 52% response rate and 74% six-month progression-free survival, while a small non-small cell lung cancer cohort treated with the vopimetostat-daraxonrasib combo saw a 100% response rate.
Buoyed by these findings, Tango plans to launch a first-line Phase 3 trial before year-end to evaluate the combo in newly diagnosed advanced pancreatic cancer patients. The stock rallied 53% to close at $30.93, extending its year-to-date gain to 254%.
