Target Launches Baby Boutique in Seven New Jersey Stores in $2B Revamp
Target will open a baby boutique with over 2,000 items at seven New Jersey stores and launch its 55th Garden State location this month. The company is investing $2 billion in a multiyear overhaul expanding groceries, home goods, sports and fashion assortments under CEO Michael Fiddelke.
1. Baby Boutique Launch
Target is introducing a baby boutique at seven New Jersey stores, featuring over 2,000 products ranging from diapers and apparel to premium strollers and toys. Shoppers will also access a new baby concierge service staffed by specialists to guide selections from brands like UPPAbaby and Bugaboo.
2. $2 Billion Multiyear Overhaul
The retailer is investing $2 billion over multiple years to refocus its assortment, expanding offerings in groceries, home goods, sports merchandise and fashion. This initiative coincides with the opening of its 55th New Jersey location at West Orange, which includes a CVS Pharmacy, Starbucks and Target Optical.
3. Home Goods and Beauty Expansion
By June 2026, Target plans to revamp 75% of decorative accessories and more than 80% of kids’ home assortments, reclaiming style authority in home. Additionally, 600 stores will debut a new Beauty Studio this fall, replacing Ulta shops and broadening in-store services.
