Target has appointed supply chain veteran Jeff England as EVP, Chief Global Supply Chain and Logistics Officer effective May 31 to replace Gretchen McCarthy and improve inventory availability, speed and reliability. The move targets weak sales by strengthening supply chain to drive revenue growth.

1. Jeff England Named EVP, Chief Global Supply Chain and Logistics Officer

Effective May 31, supply chain veteran Jeff England will report to COO Lisa Roath and lead Target’s global supply chain and logistics efforts. England joins from QXO, where he improved inventory availability and cut transportation costs, and brings prior leadership roles at Genuine Parts Company and Walmart.

2. Leadership Change Aims to Address Weak Sales

England replaces long-serving chief supply chain officer Gretchen McCarthy, who will transition to a strategic advisor role through August. This leadership shift is designed to enhance inventory speed, reliability and precision in order to counteract recent weak sales and boost revenue growth.
