TRP•Valhalla North and Berland River projects enter service
TC Energy placed the Valhalla North and Berland River projects into service on July 21, 2026, expanding Alberta’s NGTL natural gas system.
The $500 million investment adds 33 km of pipeline, a 30-megawatt electric compressor station, and about 400 MMcf/d of incremental capacity.
The projects are aimed at supporting rising Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin output, improving system reliability, and moving more gas to market.
TC Energy said it has invested about $15 billion in the NGTL System over the past decade to expand capacity and strengthen reliability.
