TE Connectivity exceeded its 2025 goal of sourcing 80% of electricity from renewables by 7%, reaching 87% companywide. Key initiatives include a 1.1MW solar installation in Lamphun, Thailand, producing 1.2 million kWh annually and cutting 520 tons of emissions, plus optimized molding operations in Kurim saving 150,000 kWh per year.
2. Waste and Water Reduction Initiatives
The company reduced hazardous waste disposal by 66%, far surpassing its 15% target, and cut water withdrawal at targeted water-stressed sites by 22% against a 15% goal. It also doubled zero-waste-to-landfill sites to 56 and diverted 93% of its waste from landfills and incinerators.
3. Safety Improvements and Emission Targets
TE improved worker safety with a Total Reportable Incident Rate of 0.06, beating its 0.12 goal. Since 2022, it has reduced Scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions by 17% toward a 30% reduction target by 2032 and plans to set new goals on water, waste and supplier emissions.
