Tecnoglass Lowers 2026 EBITDA Guidance by $50M Due to New 10% U.S. Tariff
Tecnoglass cut its full year 2026 Adjusted EBITDA guidance to $225–245 million after adding a $50 million impact from the new 10% U.S. tariff on finished aluminum window imports. Pricing actions effective May and planned efficiency gains should partly offset the tariff in 2026 and fully neutralize it by 2027.
1. Strong Q1 Performance and Backlog
Tecnoglass delivered first quarter results in line with expectations, driven by robust order activity and a record backlog that provides clear visibility into full year 2026 revenue growth. The company noted continued demand strength across residential and commercial platforms and gains in market share supported by its vertically integrated model.
2. Updated Guidance for 2026 EBITDA
The company revised its full year 2026 Adjusted EBITDA guidance to $225 million–$245 million, reflecting an incremental $50 million net impact from the newly imposed 10% tariff on finished aluminum window imports into the U.S. This adjustment was not contemplated in the original February outlook.
3. Mitigation Measures and 2027 Neutralization
Tecnoglass plans pricing adjustments effective May and additional operational efficiencies—including logistics improvements, increased automation, and headcount rationalization—to partially offset the tariff cost in 2026 and fully neutralize its impact by 2027. All other guidance assumptions remain unchanged, maintaining confidence in long-term margin expansion.
