Tectonic Therapeutic Q3 loss widens on higher expenses
TECX•Tectonic Therapeutic’s third-quarter net loss widened year over year to $21.35 million as research and administrative expenses increased. It ended the quarter with $234.7 million in cash and expects its cash runway to extend into the first quarter of 2029.
1. Quarterly results and outlook
Tectonic Therapeutic reported a third-quarter net loss of $21.35 million, a loss of $1.08 per basic share, and operating expenses of $23.46 million. Higher research and development costs reflected increased headcount and stock-based compensation, while general and administrative costs also rose due to employee-related and stock-based compensation; proceeds from an at-the-market offering contributed to cash and cash equivalents.
2. Pipeline updates
The company announced favorable Phase 1a safety results for TX2100 and an FDA Fast Track designation. It expects topline results from the TX45 APEX Phase 2 trial in PH-HFpEF by the end of January 2027 and interim topline results from the TX2100 TERRA Phase 1b trial by year-end 2027.
