Teledyne Technologies’ Raymarine unit signed a five-year partnership with the UK’s RNLI to supply navigation and digital ship-control systems.
Thermal-imaging trial and initial installations
Teledyne FLIR Marine will trial thermal-imaging cameras on RNLI vessels to improve detection in low-visibility conditions.
Initial installations target the Shannon all-weather lifeboat, Atlantic 85 inshore lifeboat, and E Class boats on London’s River Thames.
