Terra Innovatum Secures Air-Cooled Condenser, Expands SOLO Reactor Deployment in Remote Areas
Terra Innovatum’s affiliate Terra Innovatum S.r.L. signed a supply agreement with SPG Dry Cooling for an Air-Cooled Condenser to support the first-of-a-kind SOLO microreactor deployment. This water-independent heat rejection capability expands addressable markets by enabling scalable installations in remote, water-constrained environments.
1. Supply Agreement Details
Terra Innovatum’s affiliate Terra Innovatum S.r.L. entered an agreement with SPG Dry Cooling to supply an Air-Cooled Condenser for the first-of-a-kind SOLO micro-modular reactor deployment, marking a key step in deploying its platform without reliance on water-based cooling.
2. Water-Independent Cooling Technology
The Air-Cooled Condenser leverages SPG Dry Cooling’s standardized BoxAir solution to reject heat via air, eliminating water dependency and enabling installations in arid, remote, and water-scarce locations, thus addressing major siting constraints.
3. Commercialization and Scalability Implications
This partnership strengthens Terra Innovatum’s balance-of-plant strategy and supports a transition from first-of-a-kind execution to scalable, repeatable commercialization of the SOLO platform, aiming to lower deployment risk and accelerate global fleet adoption.
