Tesla has officially started production of its Cybercab autonomous vehicle, marking the transition from concept to tangible output. Elon Musk acknowledged that the rollout is in an early phase and that initial volumes will be limited as new manufacturing processes and supply chains are refined.

The company expects Cybercab output to accelerate later this year and extend into next year, once early bottlenecks are resolved and component sourcing stabilizes. Tesla plans to monitor supply-chain performance closely to ensure a smoother scale-up in the coming quarters.

Cybercab production is a key element of Tesla’s broader push into autonomous mobility, representing a departure from traditional electric vehicles. At the same time, the automaker is edging closer to volume manufacturing of its Semi electric truck, signaling simultaneous scaling of multiple new programs.
