Tesla Secures 25 GWh Europe Megapack Deal With $4-5 Billion Value
TSLA•Tesla signed a multi-year agreement with NatPower for more than 25 GWh of Megapack battery systems in Italy and the UK, initiating five projects toward a 100+ GWh Europe program. The full scope carries $4-5 billion in construction value with expected revenues exceeding $15 billion over 20 years.
1. Multi-Year Europe Battery Agreement
Tesla has finalized a multi-year supply and execution agreement with NatPower for over 25 GWh of Megapack energy storage deployments. The initial phase covers five sites in Italy and the UK, marking the first deliveries in a broader program targeting more than 100 GWh across Europe.
2. Project Scope and Economics
Under the agreement, Tesla will provide Megapack units along with engineering, procurement and construction services, plus bankable trading and long-term revenue warranties. Aggregate construction value for the full program is estimated at $4-5 billion, with projected revenues exceeding $15 billion over a 20-year operational period.
3. Production Capacity & Strategic Impact
Tesla’s Megafactories in Lathrop and Shanghai have a combined annual manufacturing capacity of 80 GWh, enough to retire roughly 400 fossil fuel peaker plants each year. This deal underscores Tesla’s push to scale utility-scale storage and solidify its position in the global clean energy infrastructure market.
