TSLA•China-made EV sales slow in August
Tesla's China-made electric vehicle sales slowed to a gain of 3.6% year-on-year in August, down sharply from the prior month, as divergent trends persisted across the U.S. automaker's major markets.
Sales of Model 3 and Model Y vehicles from its Shanghai factory, including exports to Europe, Asia Pacific and Canada, rose to 86,166 units from the year earlier.
That's a sharp slowdown from a 38% year-on-year rise in July, data from the China Passenger Car Association showed on Wednesday.
On a month-on-month basis, sales fell 7.9%.
