TEVATEVA

Teva Pharmaceuticals provided $75,000 grants to 11 free clinics across Alabama, Mississippi and Texas in the fourth year of its Community Routes program, following a $2 million launch in 2022 and another $2 million in 2024. In 2025 the initiative served 57,000 patients and conducted nearly 6,000 mental health screenings.

1. Grant Allocation and Program History

Teva Pharmaceuticals has allocated $75,000 grants to each of 11 free and charitable clinics in Alabama, Mississippi and Texas as part of the fourth year of its Community Routes: Access to Mental Health Care program. The initiative began in 2022 with a $2 million funding commitment and received an additional $2 million in 2024, extending support through 2026.

2. 2025 Program Impact

During 2025, the program expanded counseling and mental health screening services across participating clinics, serving 57,000 patients and completing nearly 6,000 depression and anxiety evaluations. More than 260 healthcare providers received specialized training, and telehealth capabilities were enhanced to improve appointment accessibility for underserved populations.

3. Clinic Enhancements and Challenges

Grantees integrated mental health screenings into primary care and pharmacy visits to reduce stigma and identify patients earlier, while partnerships with universities and community groups broadened service reach. Clinics addressed transportation, housing instability and language barriers, prioritizing sustainable implementation over rapid expansion to maintain quality care delivery.
