TGE Launches Chinese-Language L'OFFICIEL Singapore Edition and Plans Art Newspaper China Launch
HKD•AMTD Digital’s media arm TGE is launching a Chinese-language L'OFFICIEL Singapore edition—the first country with both English and Chinese titles—and will debut L'OFFICIEL Taiwan. The Art Newspaper has launched Hong Kong editions and plans October print and digital editions in China, with Africa and India versions planned.
1. L'OFFICIEL Expansion in Asia
TGE has launched L'OFFICIEL 时装 Singapore with Aileen Soh as Regional Managing Director and Grace Lee as Editor-in-Chief, marking Singapore as the first market with both English and Chinese editions. A L'OFFICIEL Taiwan edition is slated to debut soon, further strengthening TGE’s footprint in Greater China and across Asia.
2. Growth of The Art Newspaper Editions
The Art Newspaper Hong Kong SAR edition debuted at Art Basel Hong Kong 2026, publishing its inaugural March–April and May–June issues with a July–August release forthcoming. TGE will launch print and digital editions of The Art Newspaper China this October and is preparing regional versions for Africa and India to tap emerging art markets.
3. Distribution Partnerships
TGE is expanding magazine availability through premium hospitality venues, placing both titles at The Peninsula Hong Kong and planning rollout across The Peninsula’s global hotel portfolio. Additional distribution is underway in AMTD-branded hotels, including Dao by Dorsett AMTD Singapore and AMTD IDEA Tribeca Hotel, with London openings from July.
4. M&A Growth Strategy
TGE’s Board has adopted an acquisitive approach for its media business, actively evaluating mergers and acquisitions in movie, entertainment, sport and leisure media segments. This strategy aims to complement L'OFFICIEL and The Art Newspaper brands, broaden content offerings and diversify revenue streams globally.
