The Generation Essentials Group is on track to finalize US$328 million in hospitality acquisitions within the next two to three weeks, adding The Ritz-Carlton Australia, Malaysia’s Upper View Regalia Hotel and a UK portfolio featuring Hornsey Town Hall and rebranded hotels and offices. TGE’s entertainment division has contributed to AMTD-produced films grossing over US$789 million globally, led by Scare Out’s US$197 million haul and bolstered by Shock Wave 2 (US$191 million) and Moscow Mission (US$94 million).
1. Hospitality Portfolio Expansion
The Generation Essentials Group, as part of AMTD Digital’s hospitality arm, is advancing towards closing transactions valued at approximately US$328 million within the next two to three weeks. These acquisitions cover The Ritz-Carlton in Australia, Upper View Regalia Hotel in Malaysia and a UK portfolio comprising Dao by Dorsett Hornsey Hotel (to be renamed AMTD Dao by Dorsett Hornsey Hotel), Hornsey Town Hall and a London office tower to be rebranded as The AMTD IDEA House.
2. Entertainment Division Box Office Achievements
TGE’s entertainment division has played a role in AMTD-produced films that have collectively surpassed US$789 million in global box office receipts. Highlighted by Scare Out’s US$197 million performance, the film slate also includes Shock Wave 2 (US$191 million), Moscow Mission (US$94 million), The Goldfinger (US$90 million) and The Last Dance (US$50 million), with upcoming titles Mother Bhumi and Dog Day Evening set to sustain growth.
