TGS partners with SLB on Pelotas Sul Phase 2 3D seismic survey offshore Brazil
NDAQ•TGS and SLB entered a joint venture for a multi-client 3D seismic survey covering about 11,200 square kilometers offshore southern Brazil. Acquisition is scheduled to start in October 2026 and finish in the second or third quarter of 2027.
1. Survey plans
TGS entered a joint venture with SLB to run the Pelotas Sul Phase 2 multi-client 3D seismic survey offshore southern Brazil. The survey is planned to cover about 11,200 square kilometers, expanding 3D seismic coverage in the southern Pelotas Basin.
2. Acquisition schedule
Acquisition is scheduled to start in October 2026 using a Ramform Titan-class vessel, with completion targeted for the second or third quarter of 2027. The program is designed to support evaluation of held acreage, with coverage also positioned for future licensing rounds.
