FDX•A FedEx report highlights Thailand’s growing role in semiconductor packaging and testing as AI and electric vehicles drive chip demand. It says Asia-Pacific represents about 58% of global semiconductor industry revenue.

A survey conducted September 2-4, 2026, found that 35% of respondents expect to expand manufacturing into additional Asia-Pacific markets over the next three years, while 25% plan to increase or diversify sourcing within the region or globally.
2. Challenges and logistics
Geopolitical disruption was the biggest growth challenge for 30% of respondents. Faster international shipping was a priority when selecting logistics partners for 44%.
