The Generation Essentials Group has entered a definitive agreement to purchase the office tower at 40 Furnival Street, EC4A 1JQ, for US$17 million (GBP12 million). The building offers approximately 9,646 sq ft of Grade A office and ancillary space across six levels, including a roof terrace on the fifth floor.
2. Financing Structure
The acquisition will be funded entirely through existing AMTD IDEA internal resources, with no drawdown on previously disclosed term loan facilities or other external financing arrangements. Closing is subject to customary conditions and expected to occur in the near term.
3. Strategic Impact
Upon completion, the London tower will become the global headquarters for TGE, The Art Newspaper and L’Officiel, strengthening TGE’s UK footprint and enhancing its presence in one of the city’s prime commercial districts near major transport hubs.
