A record 85% of venture capital and private equity investors plan to exit at least one portfolio company over the next 12 months, according to HSBC's Funding the Future Survey. The US remains the preferred IPO venue, but preference for US listings fell to 57% from 79% in July, while interest in Asia and EMEA climbed to 18% each.
Nearly two-thirds of investors expect AI companies to drive IPO exits over the coming year. The survey said the strongest IPO window was reserved for AI firms.
