Sept. 2 (Reuters) - Thoma Bravo-owned Proofpoint is in talks to buy cybersecurity firm Varonis Systems VRNS.O, a source familiar with the matter told Reuters on Wednesday.

Thoma Bravo, Proofpoint and Varonis did not immediately respond to Reuters requests for comment.
