Tilray Medical calls for German law to codify guidance on prescribing standardized full-spectrum cannabis extracts
TLRY•Tilray Medical urges German lawmakers to codify prescribing guidance
Tilray Medical welcomed German health bodies’ guidance on prescribing standardized full-spectrum medical cannabis extracts.
It urged lawmakers to codify the interpretation to give doctors, patients, insurers, and providers durable legal certainty on reimbursed prescriptions.
The group warned unresolved rules could disrupt continuity for patients already stabilized on extracts or other compounded cannabis medicines.
Tilray Medical said clearer law would protect physician discretion, improve reimbursement predictability, and support a managed transition as cannabis flower reimbursement rules change.
Tilray Medical cited a 45% share of Germany’s medical cannabis extract market, supported by German and Portuguese production and CC Pharma’s reach to 16,000 pharmacies.
