1. US users return to growth
Tinder's daily active users in the US returned to year-over-year growth in October, Match Group CFO Steve Bailey said. He attributed the improvement largely to better algorithms, supported by AI analysis of unstructured data to identify more compatible users, and did not disclose monthly figures.
2. AI and revenue outlook
Tinder's global daily active users returned to year-over-year growth in September for the first time in three and a half years. Match reported a 1% year-over-year decline in Tinder's global daily active users in the third quarter, compared with a 10% decline a year earlier. Match expects to spend around $10 million on AI tools in 2026 and forecast fourth-quarter revenue of $865 million to $875 million, versus analysts' expectations of $871.4 million. Bailey said the company is slowing hiring to offset rising AI costs and is not laying off employees.
