TMC publishes investor deck outlining NOAA permitting progress for U.S. deep-sea nodule project in CCZ

TMC outlined progress on U.S. permitting for its CCZ projects, with NOAA expected to publish filings to the Federal Register in August 2026.

Certification for the consolidated exploration license and commercial recovery permit application is estimated for October 2026, followed by a NEPA EIS process.

Allseas is finalizing procurement for the first commercial nodule production system; commissioning is expected to begin in Q4 2027.

The planned system targets 3,000,000 wet tonnes of nodules per year using two collector vehicles, the Hidden Gem vessel, and a transfer vessel.

Onshore plans center on a Brownsville, Texas processing site option covering 1,466 acres, with final commitment contingent on U.S. government support.
