Tokyo Century partners with egg Power on 212 MW of UK renewable energy projects
Tokyo Century agreed on October 19, 2026, to acquire a 50% stake in Egg Power Finance through Tokyo Century UK. The joint venture with Liberty Global subsidiary egg Power covers three UK solar and onshore wind projects totaling 212 MW.
1. Three UK projects
The portfolio includes the 52 MW Rag Lane Solar Farm in England, which began commercial operations in 2026. The 70 MW Grange Solar Farm in England is under construction and targets operations in 2027, while the 90 MW Chirmorie Wind Farm in Scotland targets operations in 2028.
2. Revenue support
Long-term power purchase agreements and the UK government's Contracts for Difference scheme are expected to support stable power sales revenue.
