TOMI's Binary Ionization Technology received Dutch ctgb approval as a PT2 disinfectant on March 24 for SteraMist fogging and spraying, marking its first EU authorization. EU Biocidal Products Regulation mutual recognition can extend authorization to 12 additional markets including Germany, France and Italy, accelerating BIT Solution's rollout.

1. Dutch Authorization Details

On March 24, TOMI Environmental Solutions secured formal approval from the Dutch ctgb for its Binary Ionization Technology as a PT2 disinfectant. The authorization covers SteraMist room fogging and surface spraying equipment for professional indoor use against bacteria, yeasts and mycobacteria, marking TOMI's first EU member state product approval.

2. EU Mutual Recognition Pathway

The approval falls under the European Union's Biocidal Products Regulation, which allows mutual recognition of biocidal authorizations across member states. TOMI anticipates extending BIT Solution approval to 12 additional EU countries, including Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Belgium, Austria and others, without repeating the full authorization process.

3. Commercial Partnership and Market Plans

TOMI's established partner Ster-Pharma in the Netherlands is positioned to begin distributing SteraMist iHP products immediately in medical, healthcare, industrial, hospitality and institutional sectors. The company expects further EU member state registrations this year, leveraging its regional network to accelerate market entry and revenue generation.
