TOMI Gains GB-2016-1042 and NI-2026-1350 Biocide Authorizations
TOMI Environmental Solutions has received Health and Safety Executive authorization Nos. GB-2016-1042 and NI-2026-1350 for its Binary Ionization Technology and SteraMist iHP disinfection products under Regulation 528/2012 for Great Britain and EU Regulation 528/2012 for Northern Ireland. The company expects EU Biocidal Products Regulation approval later this year.

Health and Safety Executive granted TOMI Authorization Nos. GB-2016-1042 and NI-2026-1350, officially approving its BIT solution and SteraMist iHP equipment as biocidal products under Regulation 528/2012 in Great Britain and EU Regulation 528/2012 in Northern Ireland.

These approvals pave the way for commercial deployment of disinfection products across healthcare, industrial, commercial, hospitality and institutional facilities in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, with separate EU BPR approval anticipated later this year to access additional European markets.
3. Efficacy Claims and Applications
The BIT solution is cleared for room fogging and handheld spray, achieving bactericidal, yeasticidal and virucidal efficacy within 5–7 minutes on surfaces and 5–15 minutes for fogging, meeting EN and AOAC standards.
4. Product Technology Overview
TOMI’s SteraMist iHP platform uses ionized hydrogen peroxide fog as a non-caustic germicidal aerosol, supporting disinfection in environments from hospitals and labs to hotels, schools, cruise ships and military facilities.
