TopBuild Names John Achille President and COO, Oversees M&A and Supply Chain
TopBuild promoted Chief Operating Officer John Achille to President and Chief Operating Officer, making him accountable for day-to-day operations across Installation Services, Specialty Distribution and Supply Chain, as well as all M&A growth initiatives. Achille continues to report to CEO Robert Buck, leveraging his five-year tenure and engineering background to drive profitable growth and free cash flow.
1. Leadership Promotion
On April 2, 2026, TopBuild elevated John Achille from Chief Operating Officer to the combined role of President and Chief Operating Officer. The appointment is effective immediately and positions Achille as second-in-command under CEO Robert Buck.
2. Expanded Operational Oversight
In his expanded role, Achille will manage the day-to-day operations of TopBuild’s Installation Services and Specialty Distribution segments, oversee the Supply Chain organization and lead all mergers and acquisitions initiatives aimed at driving future growth.
3. Strategic Background
Achille joined TopBuild in 2021 via the acquisition of American Building Systems and has since held leadership roles including EVP of TruTeam, Distribution International and Service Partners. He holds a B.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Rutgers University and brings a track record of delivering strong free cash flow and operational excellence.
