Toronto stocks rise as weak US jobs data cools Fed rate-hike bets

August 7 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index opened higher on Friday, lifted by mining shares, while data showing an unexpected fall in U.S. jobs last month cast doubts about an interest rate hike by the Federal Reserve in September.
The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX Composite index .GSPTSE was up 0.4% at 09:31 a.m. ET.
