TTE• TotalEnergies agrees KKR stake sale in European renewables portfolio
- TotalEnergies signed a deal to buy Shell’s entire onshore renewables business in Europe, covering 4 GW of projects.
- The portfolio includes 500 MW of solar and wind operating or under construction, mainly in Italy and the Netherlands.
- It also includes a 3.5 GW pipeline spanning solar, wind and battery storage in Italy, the UK and Spain.
- The transaction is expected to close by end-2026, subject to regulatory clearances.
- Separately, it agreed to sell KKR a 50% stake in a largely developed 1.2 GW renewables portfolio at €1.8 billion enterprise value.
