TotalEnergies completed a swap with Galp, taking a 40% operated stake in Namibia’s PEL83 license covering the giant Mopane discovery.
The transaction leaves TotalEnergies operating Namibia’s two biggest oil discoveries, Mopane in PEL83 and Venus in PEL56.
Galp and TotalEnergies positions in Namibia licenses
Galp received a 10% stake in PEL56 and a 9.39% stake in PEL91; TotalEnergies holds 35.25% in PEL56 and 33.09% in PEL91.
