Tower Semiconductor partnered with OpenLight to expand the PH18DA indium phosphide-on-silicon photonics ecosystem for faster photonic IC development.
OpenLight’s PH18DA process design kit became available in Cadence EDA tools, enabling PIC design in a mainstream IC design workflow.
The PH18DA platform targets monolithic integration of active photonics, supporting 400G and 1.6T laser-integrated PICs for near- and co-packaged optics.
