The milestone leverages Tower’s advanced SiPho platform, integrating non-silicon materials, 3D electronics and V-Groove optical packaging to enhance photonic transceiver performance.

Tower Semiconductor, in collaboration with Marvell, has shipped more than five million coherent photonic integrated circuits to Marvell’s global customers. The shipments draw on Tower’s silicon photonics (SiPho) platform, which incorporates non-silicon materials, three-dimensional integration of electronics and advanced V-Groove optical packaging.
