Treehouse’s proprietary virtual scoping technology delivers firm installation quotes within 48 hours using customer-submitted photos and surveys. By simplifying design, permitting and electrician scheduling into one streamlined process, Toyota aims to enhance the EV ownership experience and accelerate home charger adoption among its growing electrified vehicle customer base. Toyota Motor North America announced a collaboration with Treehouse, integrating its software-enabled platform to manage every step of home Level 2 EV charger installations for 2026 and newer Toyota and Lexus BEVs and PHEVs. The service includes virtual scoping, permitting and licensed electrician coordination in a single hardware installation visit. All 2026 and newer battery-electric and plug-in hybrid models now ship with a dual-voltage 120V/240V charging cable capable of delivering up to 7.7 kW for overnight charging. Treehouse provides a three-year warranty on the cable (four years for Lexus), and customers can opt for a hardwired ChargePoint Home Flex charger to reduce charging time by up to 30%.
