1. January Sales Growth

Toyota’s global vehicle sales reached 822,577 units in January 2026, marking a 4.7% increase year-over-year. Growth was led by strong demand in North America and Europe, with key models Corolla, Camry, TX and Grand Highlander performing well in the U.S. and Yaris variants contributing 104,727 units in Europe.

2. Production Decline Factors

Total production fell 6% to 735,097 units, the third consecutive month of year-over-year declines. The drop was largely attributed to the model transition of the RAV4 and fewer operating days at manufacturing plants.

3. Regional Performance Details

In Japan, output decreased 6.1%, reflecting the model transition delays. North American production plunged 24.8% to 134,351 units, primarily due to RAV4 assembly adjustments, while Europe and other regions showed more moderate changes.
